On 5–6 October 2026 ABYAZ took part in the EU–Somalia Business Forum 2026 in Mogadishu, held under the theme “Invest in Somalia — Unlocking High Potential Markets”.
The two-day forum brought together European and Somali companies, investors, institutions and government representatives to explore where Somalia’s greatest opportunities lie — and how local production can serve regional and international markets.
Our message at the forum
For ABYAZ the message was simple: Somali frankincense should not leave the country only as raw resin. Processed, blended and packaged locally, it becomes a premium finished product — and with it come skills, employment and a Somali brand that can compete internationally.
Guests at our stand experienced our perfumes, العطار, الناشرون القصب, أونسي وبخور, and saw how each product can be personalised with a name, a photo or a company brand.
What we took away
- Strong interest in private label and corporate gifting from businesses and hotels.
- Growing demand for personalised bottles — names, photos and messages printed directly on the bottle.
- Real appetite among partners for value-added Somali frankincense for regional and international markets.
